General Information


ECTH 2019 will be held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

The official language of the congress is English.


During the ECTH, attire should be smart casual and rather elegant than sporty.

Safety and insurance

As in all major cities, people should be aware of safety risks. You are advised not to wear your conference badge outside congress activities. It is highly recommended that all participants carry adequate personal travel and health insurance. The organisers do not accept responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance.


Smoking is prohibited inside the building. You are allowed to smoke outside, please remember to take your name badge with you.



All participants will receive a personal badge upon registration. You are kindly requested to wear this badge when attending any scientific session or conference related event. Only participants who are wearing their name badge will be admitted to the congress related area (meeting rooms, poster sessions, etc.).

Banking service

The official currency in the United Kingdom is the Pound sterling (£/GBP). Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, which are usually open from Monday to Friday from 8:30-9:00 to 16:00-17:30.
